That game was horrible! I could not figure any of it out. It also got really boring.

I'm sure a lot of people will be stuck in the first part of the game, so here is the solution:

after you try to pass through l the andslide and try to get past the forcefield, return to village. Speak to the Mayor who tells you to speak to Hans. Hans will tell you the key is in the village. Then go to the right side of the portal. You will find the key. After this you can walk through the forcefield into the mountains!
